5th of August 2021 marks the official date when TourCMR is fully recognized and accepted as Cameroon’s official digital Tour Guide.
This declaration was made at a meeting with the entire cabinet of the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure chaired by Mr. NDIORO à MAMOM, Secretary-General of MINTOUL. Discussions were centered around strategies for exposing the beauty of Cameroon, especially considering the fast-approaching AFCON.
The session started off with a detailed step-by-step presentation, which unveiled an overview of how the TourCMR app works, and the unique benefits it will bring to the table; for the promotion of the immense beauty of Cameroon.
Amongst all the different proposals submitted before the officials regarding ways to showcase Cameroon’s culture and heritage throughout AFCON, Tour CMR, Cameroon first bilingual travel guide App was selected and ordained as the Official Travel Guide App for Cameroon.
This ordination of TourCMR is especially for the upcoming AFCON, and was done by the Minister of State, the Minister of Tourism and leisure.
The Minister has in this regard, assigned major stakeholders from the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure to ensure that the TourCMR project goes through to completion and is fully ready for AFCON, within a very strict timeline.
